Privacy Policy

Trehko LLC ("Trehko," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Trehko website at trehko.com and the Trehko mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide directly

• Account information: When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash).
• Profile information: You may optionally add your sport preferences, target races, and coach connections.
• Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details (card number, billing address) are collected and processed by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Communications: If you contact us by email or through a form, we retain those communications and your contact details.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: Pages visited, race cards clicked, searches performed, features used, time spent in the app.
• Device and browser information: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers.
• Location data: If you use the location-based race search, we access your approximate location (city/region level) only with your permission. We do not track your precise GPS location continuously.
• Referral data: If you arrive at a race registration page via a Trehko link, we log that click for partner reporting (UTM parameters).

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account and authenticate your identity
• Provide the race discovery map, browser, and race detail features
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send registration deadline reminders and training briefs (Elite and Coach subscribers)
• Enable coach–athlete connections and training plan delivery (Coach plan)
• Personalize your race recommendations and Race Finder Wizard results
• Generate anonymized partner reports (e.g., how many athletes clicked through to a race)
• Respond to support requests and inquiries
• Improve the Service through analytics, A/B testing, and feature development
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data to serve behavioral advertising on behalf of third-party advertisers.

3. Sharing your information

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: We engage third-party vendors to operate the Service — including cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics. These vendors process data on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect it.
• Race director partners: If you click "Register Now" on a race listing, your click is tracked via UTM parameters for our partner reporting. We share only aggregated, anonymized click data with race directors — never your name, email, or personal profile.
• Coach connections: If you connect with a coach on the platform, that coach can see your race wishlist, assigned workouts, and planned vs. actual training data you share with them.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Trehko, our users, or others.
• Business transfers: If Trehko is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Keep you logged in between sessions (authentication cookies)
• Remember your sport filter and map preferences
• Measure how the Service is used (analytics)

We use first-party analytics tools and do not embed third-party advertising trackers. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features (such as staying logged in) may not function correctly without them.

The race map uses Leaflet.js with map tiles from CARTO. Location search uses the Nominatim geocoding service. Please review their respective privacy policies for information about how those services process requests.

5. Data retention

We retain your account information and personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Anonymized usage data and aggregated analytics may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
• Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Opt out of marketing emails: Unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in the email footer, or by contacting us directly

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Virginia, or another state with comprehensive consumer privacy laws, you may have additional rights. Contact us for more information.

7. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for data in transit, hashed password storage, and access controls limiting who within Trehko can access personal data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Your continued use of the Service after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
